Udta Punjab Ikk Kudi Lyrics In English

Ikk Kudi Jihda Naam Mohabbat
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai

Ikk Kudi Jihda Naam Mohabbat
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai

Oh Saad Muradi Sohni Phaabat
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai

Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai
Ho Surat Osdi Pariyaan Wargi
Sirat Di Oh Mariyam Lagdi

Hasdi Hai Taan Phul Jharhde Ne
Turdi Hai Taan Gazal Hai Lagdi
Lamm Salammi Saru De Kadh Di Haye
Umar Aje Hai Marke Agg Di

Par Naina Di Gal Samajhdi
Ikk Kudi Jihda Naam Mohabbat
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai
Ikk Kudi Jihda Naam Mohabbat

Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai
Oh Saad Muradi Sohni Phaabat

Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai
Gum Hai, Gum Hai, Gum Hai

Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh (born 6 January 1984) is an Indian singer, actor and television presenter who works in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He is recognised as one of the leading artists in the Indian music industry. He also acts in Punjabi movies, with many of them being commercially successful, including Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2, Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji, Ambarsariya, Sardaar Ji 2, Super Singh, Sajjan Singh Rangroot and Shadaa – which are among the most successful Punjabi movies in history.

He made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with the crime thriller Udta Punjab for which he earned the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. However, this was followed by films that failed to propel his career forward in the Hindi film industry. This changed with his supporting role in the comedy Good Newzz (2019), for which he received nomination for Best Supporting Actor at Filmfare. He has also appeared as a judge in three seasons of the reality show Rising Star.

Diljit Dosanjh was born on 6 January 198 to a Sikh family in the village of Dosanjh Kalan in Phillaur tehsil, Jalandhar district, Punjab, India. His father, Balbir Singh, is a former employee of Punjab Roadways, and his mother, Sukhwinder Kaur, is a homemaker. He has two siblings, one elder sister and one younger brother. He spent his early childhood in Dosanjh Kalan and then moved to Ludhiana, Punjab from where he completed his formal education, including a high school diploma from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School. While still in school, he began his singing career by performing Kirtan (Sikh religious music) at local gurdwaras. Credit To

Shiv Kumar Batalvi

Shiv Kumar Batalvi (23 July 1936 –6 May 1973) was an Indian poet, writer and playwright of the Punjabi language. He was most known for his romantic poetry, noted for its heightened passion, pathos, separation and lover’s agony.

He became the youngest recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1967, given by the Sahitya Akademi (India’s National Academy of Letters), for his epic verse play based on the ancient legend of Puran Bhagat, Loona (1965), now considered a masterpiece in modern Punjabi literature, and which also created a new genre, of modern Punjabi kissa. Today, his poetry stands in equal footing, amongst that by stalwarts of modern Punjabi poetry, like Mohan Singh (poet) and Amrita Pritam, all of whom are popular on both sides of Indo-Pakistan border.

Shiv Kumar Batalvi was born on 23 July 1936 (though a few documents related to him state 8 October 1937) in village Bara Pind Lohtian, Shakargarh Tehsil, Sialkot District (now in Punjab province, Pakistan), to Pandit Krishan Gopal, village tehsildar in the revenue department, and Shanti Devi, a housewife.

In 1947, when he was aged 11, his family moved to Batala, Gurdaspur district after partition of India, where his father continued his work as a patwari and young Shiv received his primary education. Allegedly, he was a dreamy child, often vanishing for the duration of the day, to be found lying under trees by the riverbank close to the Mandir or Hindu temple outside the village, lost in a brown reverie. He appears to have been fascinated by local renditions of the Hindu epic Ramayana, as well as wandering minstrel singers, snake charmers and the like – which feature as metaphors in his poetry, giving it a uniquely rural flavour. Credit To
